About the Grant
The grant aims to support projects that educate market participants and the general public and contribute to financial research. This program is funded through the fines and other sums collected by the MX's Regulatory Division from settlements and disciplinary proceedings. Uses of these funds are specified in Decision No. 2023-PDG-0012 (the "Recognition Order") and include:
- Training and informational programs for market participants and the public.
- Research into financial markets and regulations.
- Support for non-profit, tax-exempt organizations focused on investor protection.
- Innovative educational projects approved by the Autorité des marchés financiers.
How to Apply
To apply for funding, applicants must submit a detailed project proposal that includes the following elements:
- Intended Audience: Clearly define who will benefit from your project.
- Project Cost: Outline the financial requirements of your initiative.
- Estimated Time Frame: Provide an estimated timeline for project completion.
- Detailed Summary: Offer a comprehensive overview of your project's goals and methods.
Proposals don't need to adhere to a standardized format but should be thorough and reflect a strong understanding of the subject matter. All proposal submissions must be complete. Draft proposals will not be accepted.
Submission Deadlines
There is no fixed submission deadline, and proposals can be submitted at any time. The Self-Regulatory Oversight Committee (the "Committee") convenes at least five times per year and reviews proposals on a rolling basis. We encourage early submissions to ensure timely consideration.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Quality of Subject or Work Proposed: Contributions to advancing financial literature.
- Innovation: Introduction of new ideas or methods in financial education.
- Communication: Ability to clearly and logically convey complex concepts in writing and orally.
The Committee determines the grant amount allocated to each proposal based on the available funds. Decisions are based on the proposal's merit, potential impact and alignment with the grant program's goals.
