Market Access

To accommodate independent software vendors (ISVs) and approved participants who want to connect their own front-end trading applications to SOLA, MX offers an open platform.

Order management protocols

  • SAIL: SOLA® Access Information Language is the native protocol for SOLA®, offering functionalities required by both order entry brokers, high-frequency traders and exchange designated market makers.
  • Industry standard protocol: The FIX protocol is available for order entry brokers.

Market data feed

  • HSVF: High Speed Vendor Feed for access to MX's real-time trading and statistical information (comprising trades, quotes, market depth, strategies, bulletins, summaries, bond deliverables, and other statistics).
  • OBF: Real-time binary MX Order Book Feed offers clients full depth-of-book and order-by-order detail for all derivative products traded on the MX.

Post-trade, Drop Copy and ancillary services

  • ATR: Automated trade reporting for a real-time drop copy feed of trades by approved participants.
  • SAIL Drop Copy/FIX Drop Copy: our Native Drop Copy or Fix 4.2 Industry standard Drop copy feed that contains in real-time all orders, Trades, Trade cancels, for risk and/or compliance purposes.
  • Trade Manager FIX API: An API for approved participants and clearing firms to develop their own software to communicate with the MX Post Trade Access Services gateway for Allocations and Give Ups.
  • PAR Reports: A set of CSV End of day batch reports for Approved Participants that contain a List of all MX Active Instruments, orders sent by a firm, Anonymous Trades, Open Orders and Post Trading Activity data.
  • LOPR service: Please refer to the Web page.
  • Trade management system: The TMS application is designed for approved participants or their clearing members to handle post-trade allocations or give ups. It provides real-time trade reporting and allocation functionality. The TMS application installation package is a self-extracting file.

TMX Connect

TMX Connect is where our clients can contact all TMX Markets services for derivatives.

This solution provides single sign-on (SSO) to TMX applications and services using technology by Okta, the leading independent provider of enterprise identity management. Launched in 2019, this platform will host more and more applications as it is developed.
