Alignment with the TSX listed trust unit Symbology
Pursuant to the technical notice 23-004, the Bourse de Montreal (Bourse) will be changing the symbol for the benefit of TSX listed trust units underlying Bourse derivatives. In the Bourse's current trading environment the symbology for TSX listed trust units is denoted by a lowercase "u" after the three or four character ticker symbol.
For example Brookfield Infrastructure Partners LP is denoted as BIPu in the Bourse's SOLA trading engine. Consequently, the Bourse has decided to align its symbology with the TSX and therefore will be instituting uppercase letters ".UN" after the the three or four character ticker symbol.
The changes described above will be implemented on Monday January 29th, 2024 and will be visible in the following services:
Trade Manager FIX API
TMS and web TMS via TMX Connect
High Speed Vendor Feed (HSVF)
The impacted symbols are enumerated in the table below.
